I don’t like colors

I often prefer removing the colors from an image. It’s usually just another element that is distracting and not important. In this image my eye focus easier on the performer in the black and white version. In the color version it jumps up and down between the audience and the performer. One reason is probably the very red shirt that one person in the audience is wearing and I could probably have done something with that in post processing but still it’s too many colors up there that is distracting. I also just love the tones you get with a black and white image.

I’m interested to hear your opinion. Do you prefer the color image or the black and white image?

The reason I prefer the b/wh version here, is that there are too many colours in the audience. If they had been “colour coordinated” I would have been fine with the colour version.

Depends on the photographer. It seems the beautiful colour photos are more challenging. When achieved though, it can be amazing. In the case of these two pictures I agree with the first commentator.
